Ants Softwarecom Says It Doesn't Expect Any Revenue in 2000

Burlingame, California, March 15 (Bloomberg) -- Ants Software.com Inc., which claims it has developed a way to significantly speed computer data processing, said it doesn't expect to receive any revenue in 2000.

The Burlingame, California-based company also said it will restate prior years' financial statements because of errors discovered by the company's new management. Frederick D. Pettit was hired as president and chief executive last September and became chairman after Donald Hutton resigned January 5.

The company said it lost $663,335, or 5 cents a share, in the quarter ended Jan. 31. It had no revenue.

It said it raised $5 million in November and December by selling 883,510 shares of restricted stock at an average price of $5.72. The stock traded between 7 7/8 and 55 5/8 in that period.

On March 6, Bloomberg News reported the Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating possible fraud in connection with trading in the company's shares.
