After taking a scan on this article, I still think Inktomi is specializing on improving the infrastructure to make the mobile device carrying more data and speed up the access. Centura provides the solution that is more a database approach, which deals the data security, replication, etc. IMHO, there are numerous ways to explain the selling. It could be that people have some general ideas on how to diversifying the investment so that they have a limit on how much they'd like to invest on wireless solution companies, maybe they think one company has more potential than the other on growth. Or it's just the market tread. Who knows?
