"Smart people will always make more than dumb people...why fight it?" The way I see it, we all have our place on the smart-to-dumb continuum. But each of us also has his own risk tolerance, which depends on personal circumstances. Each individual makes his own risk assessment as well. Given the above, there can be expected a wide spectrum of results, to a great extent independent of how "smart" the investor is.
