Never say never. Answers DO sometimes lie at the federal level, like currency, diplomacy, and a military for instance. Our founding fathers realized that some decisions demand a unified approach. Or would you like to see each state with its own currency? The balkanization of the US is not something I support, although I agree that in certain areas we need a return to state's rights. Your broad statements do not address the complexity of the issues involved.
