Dear M: first, dont rely TOO MUCH on Oracles numbers. Their great qtr came more from cost cutting than revenue increasing. I happen to think EMC & SUNW will have excellent qtrs. if for no other reason than they came into the qtr. with large backlogs (in the case of SUNW) and with ramping up of new subsidiary (in the case of EMC). Its merely a matter of executing now. If your remember the CC the only worry Scott M. had was the ability to hire and train enough qualified employees to take advantage of the incredible opportunities being offered SUNW.
I dont think the NAS steep decline had anything to do with margins, YET. Lets face it, the stocks making up the DOW were getting very undervalued. Even I was considering them. But, once they reach fair value again, I think the short term money (most of the investors today IMHO) will have to come back to the Techs cause thats were the rapid growth is.
Paddy as usual is fine. JDN
