jack, I am not trying to say that NT won't make use of XROS. I am saying that the cost for a switch with no intelligence or network management built into it was high. Intelligence will make the difference in the cross connects. From what I have read, the XROS box is also not a pure optical switch either since the use of mirror technology does weaken the beams of light slightly. Again, that is not a bad thing, just marketing. Quite frankly, I am very happy to see the prices for these places so high since I have a small stake in 3 of them that are delivering later this year. tp
