Wow, 1GHz in a laptop this year sure would be something! I guess AMD expects Athlon power consumption to go down a lot with mobile Mustang. This roadmap watch.impress.co.jp says 850 Speedstep is supposed to be the max for Intel this year. And I thought that was impressive! I can't wait to see what AMD will be able to offer late this year. But I still think getting a 2-way (and more) chipset out is very important. ;)
