I believe I publicly stated on this thread some days ago that SUNW's price had peaked and was headed to the 70's. Work out the investment return on such a decline if short the stock. I achieved that return in one day yesterday on my options purchases. That's why I haven't shorted SUNW. In terms of getting proceeds from a short sale, the brokers I use count any stock debt towards the quota of margin buying power. Otherwise I would have shorted several million dollars worth of SUNW just to provide the capital to invest in RMBS. I doubt there is any broker that would let you do that.
