Thanks for the JC response. I hope that there aren't any 3DNow! - SSE opcode clashes, and I hope that SSE is implementable without boobytraps.

It is clearly time to drop 3DNow! and take advantage of Intel's compiler optimizations with SSE. Analagous to the Vesa local bus, 3DNow! served a useful purpose for a time, but will have to yield to the Intel standard.
