ROUND ROCK, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 2000--Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:DELL) today announced that it has reduced prices and added features to WebPC(tm), its easy-to-use, easy-to-support, legacy-free PC. Starting at just $699, including a 15-inch CRT monitor, Dell customers now get more for their money when they purchase the sleek, stylish WebPC. WebPC with a flat-panel monitor and an Intel(R) Celeron(tm) processor now starts as low as $1,599.

WebPC, designed to provide customers with a quality Web experience, now features 64MB RAM, hard drives with capacities up to 20.4GB, and Intel's speedy 466MHz and 500MHz Celeron(tm) and 600MHz Pentium III(tm) processors. The new hard drives offer more space to store music, videos and other information. In addition, two WebPC models are broadband-ready, equipped with 10/100 Ethernet/modem combinations that allow users to connect an external broadband DSL or cable modem for high-speed Internet access.

Along with these new hardware offerings, WebPC features E-support(sm) Direct from Dell, enabling the consumer to easily get questions answered, diagnose and fix technical issues, and access real-time help from Dell via the Internet.
