There's a good article in today's WSJ about the HGSI patent on CCR5, granted in 1995, before they knew much about what it did. The gene was subsequently discovered (by others, including MLNM) to be a key HIV gateway receptor. Hopefully everyone will cross-license, otherwise it's only the lawyers that will get rich. Peter
