Netscape Communicator Includes a More Robust Font Displayer from Bitstream
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 2000--Bitstream Inc. (NASDAQ:BITS - news) announced today that the latest version of the Bitstream Font Displayer is now included with Netscape Communicator for Windows, Macintosh, and Unix. The Bitstream Font Displayer improves the display of dynamic fonts - also known as portable font resources (PFRs), Web fonts, and downloadable fonts - in Netscape Communicator.
Dynamic fonts are created using Bitstream's WebFont Wizard and WebFont Maker products. With these products, Web designers can include fonts in Web page designs and display them properly in industry-standard Web browsers.
The latest version of the Bitstream Font Displayer is included in Version 4.72 of Netscape Communicator. Bitstream encourages you to download the latest version of Netscape Communicator from the Netscape Web site at home.netscape.com. If you have an earlier version of Netscape Communicator and you do not wish to upgrade it, you can download and install the free Font Displayer from the Bitstream Web site at bitstream.com.
