akom, just one parting note. Yes, big oil is IT! The only thing now, is to determine where, and how that oil is controlled and manipulated. The Arabs control production through OPEC and I don't see how anyone can deny that. The major oil companies are primarily owned by off shore investors for distribution to the consumer. The super tankers are owned by these distributors of crude, and are under foreign registry. When I said there was no more "big oil", I meant that it was no longer controlled in Texas. Yes, the Bush family was heavily invested in oil but, the American influence in that industry has waned a great deal in the last 20 years. There is, for any practical purposes, no crude being pumped in Texas any longer.

I know the financial/industrial complex is just about running the world today. What can we do about it? If we vote for no one, dictatorship ,or oligarchy, takes over and we have even less freedom, if you can call it that. My point on Bush's contribution to Texas, is that others before him had the same opportunity to move forward in education, and finance reform but, they didn't do it. All the help, or direction, in the world may be available but, if someone doesn't bring factors together to make change, what has been accomplished. Nada!

One of the main reasons some people believe Armageddon will occur is because of the absolute need for oil. How are we going to stop that? When the pressures are brought to bear by the combination of the European Alliance, opposing the Eastern Europe factions, opposing the Asian hordes all scrambling for the same prize, winner takes all, where do you think the U.S. is going to rate on the totem pole. Don't look too high. ~H~
