An most unusual thing occurred today. I stood on the beach this morning and saw a white dot in the distance. Fortunately I had my spyglass and trained it upon the object. It was a large, modern boat. On board it looked like there were hundreds of people all laughing and enjoying themselves. Suddenly, a tiny dot seemed to rise from the ship and fly towards my island. The dot became larger...it was a bird...a carrier pigeon. After a few moments the intrepid pigeon reached shore and began to make slow,lazy circles far above me. A small scrap of paper fell from the pigeon's beak and landed on the beach. The pigeon then flapped vigorously and returned to the vessel of revelers. I picked up the scrap of paper and studied it. Here is the cryptic message that was on it: CCL (!!!)
