Rush was touting an interesting poll on his show this afternoon. I was driving back from a meeting and he repeated the results of a Zogby poll first aired on Hardball last night. In a three way race the numbers were

Bush- R 36%
McCain -I 32%
Gore -D 28%
Undec. 4%

Rush's theory is that this is great news for Repubs. Exit polls show McCain voters going 79% to Bush if McCain is out. McCain is not likely to run an independent race and give up his powerful committee chair. If those numbers hold up Gore is in DEEP caca. JLA
