Paul, a neat thing you can do on these share offers is to go into yahoo charts and bring up daily table which you then convert to spread sheet by selection at bottom of table. The 30 day average can be calculated and for fnf that average is 13.154 If absolutely no one chose stock and you requested stock and fnf decide to go with 52 then you would get 52/13.154 or 3.953 of todays 16.75 stock. That is an incredible 66.21. Reality is that fnf will offer lesser, maybe about 49, and some holders will still elect cash but most will elect stock and if for example your cash pro ration under those circumstances was 30 dollars then (49-30)/13.154=1.44 shares or 24.12 in shares and 30 in cash. I don't understand todays buyers paying that much unless the closing is delayed so that their stock settles so that they can elect stock.
