I don't think anyone knows what it COSTS Motorola to run the system... I know it was CHARGING Iridium 40M$/month pre Ch 11. I know it was willing to do more or less the same job for about 8M$ for "New Iridium" under the since withdrawn McCaw/Eagle River proposal.

It's been doing the work essentially for free since last August....and the last stipulation which runs out tomorrow, indicates it won't continue to do so after that time. Of course it could always change its mind.

As for Iridium having money....there's 270M$ or so of cash collateral from which lawyers and Irid's operating expenses (not including Mot's O&M effort) have been funded. But Irid can only draw from that to the extent the banks agree....and they have never agreed thus far to pay Mot out of that money.
