Must be the day for Church related stories. This just happened today in my house.....

This morning when we were making our usual rush to the door to get the children to the bus, the 7 year old could not find one of his shoes. (I wonder how one loses a shoe in the house??? but that is another subject) Not being able to find his shoe would not be that big of a deal, except that the children wear uniforms to school, part of that uniform is Dress Shoes. Brian, being in 1st grade was able to get away with a pair of casual shoes, that are not quite considered sneakers. I told him that after school, he was not allowed to do anything until the shoe was found, as we were not going to go through this same thing tomorrow morning.
The story gets good after he comes home from school!!! I remind him that he must find his other shoe. A few minutes go by and he ask if he could go outside. I told him again that he was not to do anything until the shoe is found. He walks out into the hall.....and comes back with both shoes!!! He holds them up in front of me.....with a big smile.....saying......"Here they are!!" I took one look at the shoes and notice that the Pennies are missing out of his Penny Loafers. So I inquired, "Brian, what happened to the pennies out of your shoes??" His reply, "Oh Mom, I thought I told you, I put them in the Missions bank at school!!!
