Paul Re..<<<TurboLinux sure doesn't think so - nor do the other members of the Linux community.

"But even months before the first systems built on Itanium arrive, it's already a dominant part of the computing landscape, with all the biggest hardware companies backing it. "

That's it Paul, your only words of wisdom is that Itanic while being brain dead at 500 mhz; abandoned by HP and Compaq et al. will be resuscitated by Turbo Linux . No wonder you are always yapping about Intel 15 yrs ago. Your getting desperate. Pull the life support and give Itanic a proper burial; and bring on McKinley. Of course by the time McKinley gets here IBM will be out with their Power4; rated at 1.1 to 1.5 ghz, two cores on a chip with 70 million transisters. Both HP and Compaq have openly criticized Itanic and the rest are running for the exits. Imagine that, the mighty Intel's only coup this yr is likely going to be giving away million of chips to MSFT. FOR THEIR X-BOX, and the perfection of vaporware launches in combination with weasel words such as "limited volume"; "were only suing to protect our patents" or "demand is heavy". Pretty pathetic for a world class operation.
