"The only thing the SEC requires is an uptick and the location of a borrow." Kevin, the uptick rule is an Exchange rule, not an SEC regulation. No uptick is required to short a Nasdaq Small Cap or an OTC BB stock. Also, the uptick rule on the NYSE and AMEX are different than the Nasdaq rule. Regards, Barb
