Chinadotcom to form JV with Softbank HONG KONG, March 17 (Reuters) - Chinadotcom Corp said on Friday it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Softbank Investment Strategy to create a US$100 million, 50-50 joint venture to provide business and technology consulting services. Softbank Investment Strategy is a subsidiary of Softbank Finance Corp which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Softbank Corp . Chinadotcom said in a statement it had agreed with Softbank Investment Strategy to create the new venture through a share swap agreement. Following on the memorandum of understanding, a definitive agreement would be signed on March 31, Chinadotcom said. The new company would advise and assist Internet companies which are keen to expand in Asia through strategic partnership or joint venture, chinadotcom said. The new venture would also offer online consulting and Internet-related solutions.
