You and mtnlady make very good points, all valid, I am sure. And I probably was wrong in saying they have patents on mfg processes only. No doubt the talent JDSU has and the certification processes are difficult for others to overcome, but these are relatively small btes and almost certainly not the stuff gorilladom is made of. As far as morphing into a Gorilla, this is discussed often, but no example of a King becoming a Gorilla (in the same market) has been spotted yet.
