higher fuel hasn't hurt LUV as bad as others
Actually, I bought Southwest because of the higher fuel price, I figured it couldn't last. If oil stays high, I think passengers will accept fare inceases. Secondly I travel several times a year, not enough to get perks but enough to be really annoyed at the airlines. Southwest is my favorite, they don't overpromise and underdeliver the way other airlines do. (I'm on vacation right now, I was bumped twice from America West even though I had tickets 6 months in advance and was at the airport an hour before departure).

I think LUV is rising because profitibility of the airlines in general will be up this summer, and LUV will benefit more than others.
