it's derivatives related...too many shorts in the old eco stocks needed to be covered, and that spurred rotational buying. there was also an ominous buildup of foreign bond-ownership according to the Fed. imo this money hit the market yesterday...and drew in whatever money had been on the sidelines domestically.
