Starbase-1.com Inc., Acquires World Wide Marketing & Licensing Rights for KID-SAF's Patented Gun Lock Protection System

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2000--Starbase-1.com, Inc. (OTC BB:SIFI) is pleased to announce that it has completed the exclusive world wide marketing and licensing agreement with KID-Saf Inc., a Delaware Corp., located at 210 2nd St., St. Marys, West Virginia.

The exclusive marketing agreement of the Kid Saf's patented gun lock protection system is for five years, with a two year option to purchase up to 80% of the company. Additionally, the exclusive agreement grants Starbase-1.com the rights to use the trademark "KID-SAF" and a website with the URL of www.kidsaf.com in its marketing effort.

"KID-SAF patented gun lock is simple to install and compatible to wide variety of gun designs," stated Gerald Levine , Starbase-1.com president. KID-SAF provides a reliable locking device for guns such as auto-loading pistols or rifles which may be incorporated into casting gun designs without modification to the functional element of the gun.

The number of firearms in the hands of private citizens continues to grow each year at a rate far exceeding that of the population as a whole. "There are more than 225 million civilian firearms in the United States," stated Jeff Jacoby of the Boston Globe.

Presently, firearms injury is the second leading cause of death in children and adolescents. Both accidental and homicidal shooting deaths have increased over the past several decades, particularly in lower age groups as released by the American Pediatrics Association.

"Starbase-1.com plans to work with local police departments, schools, and PTAs to market KID-SAF products. The Company also plans to contribute a percentage of its sales revenue to firearm safety programs, helping to insure firearm safety for children," added Levine.

The Nevada Conference of Police and Sheriff's has agreed to endorse where appropriate the Kid-Saf(TM)gun lock system and other items as they are introduced. KID-SAF's product line complies with the Nevada Conference of Police and Sheriff's goal of securing firearms from accidents and misuse.
