LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 2000--SEDONA(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: SDNA) announced today the expansion of its sales force by 21 quality individuals to fill direct and indirect sales and technical support positions.
The Company said that the additions to the sales force consists of 12 experienced sales people and a nine-person customer service organization for pre-sales and post-sales technical support. Coupled with its already existing management team, the expansion of the sales force is important to support the Company's accelerated growth strategy.
The new sales force was assembled by David Blackledge, the Company's V.P. of Sales, who joined SEDONA in December 1999. Mr. Blackledge, a highly experienced software sales executive, had previously held sales management positions with VERITAS Software Corporation and Triteal Corporation.
In the short time since he joined the Company, Mr. Blackledge has attracted the new sales team, drawing talent from a wide array of successful Internet companies, as well as large organizations such as IBM, Sun Microsystems and Digital Equipment Corporation and sales executives experienced in the financial services and Big 6 consulting service sectors.
