Zeev,
Good to see an old name in the flood of new postings.
I could not resist to jump in to respond to your comment about risk.
I think if we can look past the high level of volatility that has surrounded this
sector, hard as that may be, we can see that the level of risk we have now is far
lower than what it was a mere 4 months ago. At that point in time, one had to deal with
any holding in the sector as a holding that could go down to zero in value at any time.
In deed ISCO, SCON and even CDTS came reaaaaal close to doing that. That kind of
risk is no longer there. Not by a long shot.
As for the past 6 weeks' ride to the tops and troughs, I am much more comfortable with the
current valuations than I was 3 weeks ago (not to be confused with happier).
Fully diluted the companies have much more reasonable valuations now. I have attempted
to index the sector on the basis of market cap using Dec 98 caps as the 100 point index.
The number of shares is the closest I can get based on the info available. There may be
some slight errors but the ball park is there:

I also believe that the power players have unnecessarily underperformed the telecom players.
Their potential market is just as large as the telecom guys even if not as sexy. In particular
I think IMG comes out as an unquestionable gem.
