HCAR IN CUTTINGEDGE!

February 29, 2000
"
Okay, Iûm a little behind on the next Cutting Edge issue. All of this travelling
researching companies has put my schedule a little off track. I hope you donût
mind? itûs the nature of the beast. And if youûve been with me for sometime,
you know my hard-nose research has paid off handsomely.

But Iûm going to give you the next Cutting Edge recommendation now. Itûs
Hometown Auto (HCAR-NASDAQ).

I love this stock. The company is a franchise of car dealerships, and theyûre
now leveraging their brand equity on the Internet.

Check out their revenue growth:

This is massive. And once the market recognizes the companyûs core growth
and value appeal, theyûll buy en masse.

The stock trades at a market cap of about $35 million? on revenues of $269
million. Absurd!

Even more absurd, HCAR just received a $25 million investment from
institutional investors. So the company is trading at a price-to-cash ratio of
1.4. Remember, this is an emerging Internet company.

Buy it under $7 a share.

Cutting Edge #354
Hometown Auto (HCAR-NASDAQ) is a still on this pullback. If you
haven?t bought the stock, buy it now. If you have bought the stock, use this
temporary weakness to add to your position.

Think about this ? at a market cap of just $42 million, and on trailing twelve
month sales of $269 million, HCAR trades at a paltry market cap of 0.16.
Peanuts ? when compared to other e-commerce stocks.
