Siebel has, literally, made me millions. No let up in sight for the next 3-5 years. Gorilla in CRM. VERY powerful move into e-commerce. Backed by none other than IBM that dropped their entire CRM project to back SEBL instead. Do some DD you will see Siebel's value chain. EVERYONE. Bigger and more impressive than ELON's. After your sold that Siebel is the CRM gorilla and going to be a gorilla in the e-commerce/b2b space. New e-commerce sales include Yahoo, Home Network, Department of Defense, several Telco's, GM's Saturn division.. etc.. etc.. Pretty good 'lead in' sales into the e-commerce side of things no?

Now.. for fun.. go research out the size of the CRM marketplace. Dwarfs ERP.

Now.. add to the mix a coming stock split (not announced yet) - bets are on for a 3-1. Siebel splits every year (shades of Cisco).

Add a dash of SP500 inclusion (how can you leave the gorilla of CRM apps out?

What else.. how about a new product line about ready to be rolled out - Siebel2000. E-commerce blitzkrieg coming.

Now.. want to get 'excited' (at least as investments go!). Look at their financials over the last few years. Very, very, very nice.

Good 'psychology' for sure V. How about this for a story line. Gorilla of CRM, a market bigger than back office ERP, begins to take over CRM+ (i.e. they are expanding CRM into avenues not 'traditionally' CRM) e-commerce with a value chain ELON would be envious of. And you know what? Unlike just about every other e-commerce vendor out there. THEY MAKE TONS, AND TONS, AND TONS of money. Now.. don't you think that might sell to Aunt and Uncle Jane Doe in Peoria IL that is looking for one of their first .... oh my gosh (!)... 'risky' NAZ investment... Yep.. it sells.

Elaine

p.s. I know the CRM market because I used to design software apps for a sector of this market. I made lots of money. But I've made even more money investing in Siebel who, clearly, has taken over my old stomping grounds.
