Umm, sure, it's all a conspiracy. Why would people waste their time shorting lousy companies when they can just conspire to scare the 'weak hands' into selling? Gosh, I'll tell you, I wouldn't buy a stock long unless it had an ongoing concern clause issued by its auditors.
