I don't really have a problem with any of this. Jim probably wasn't aware that Suzanne was as upset as her friends and family say she was. He knew he'd be able to finish up with his comments on Saturday afternoon, no doubt in a short time.

Saturday afternoon or any time at his convenience seems like it would be in line with his intentions.

BUT, my understanding is this is not what happened. His lawyer stated that he was planning on communicating with her in the morning. His lawyer would have learned about this after the fact so it does not seem like a presumption.
