After reviewing your profile, I realized that you are not a lawyer at all, but only a sheriff.
That explains why you don't wish for anyone other than the "establishment" to have guns, or to be able to defend themselves.
After all, if one has a little power over the populous, why would one want the populous to have an equalizer to defend themselves of any abuse of authorized power?
You could not possibly be a lawyer, or you would know the definition of SLANDER and LIBEL.
