Shows that the spread reached 30% intraday, just as you said. I was only looking at end of day numbers.

Still, that big number was at the very peak of the Naz sell off. That's consistent with my theory that it was the volatility of the sell off that has increased the spread.

You really wouldn't expect a rumor to have it's peak effect at exactly that time, and then to subside, would you?
