PCCW (1186) clarified SCMP reports, not book net-related profit into account (Infocast News) A source closed to PCCW said that the company's suspension of trading is because of an article on SCMP today claiming that PCCW has booked an unrealised gain of USD 1 billion on investment in about a dozen listed Internet-related companies. However, the source said that the said USD 1 billion is book profit only. Is this PCCW formal statement -- A source closed to? Will they report on Monday?? Otherwise, market rumours spread widely this morning that PCCW will place shares, yet, source pointed oot that the company has no plan to carry out placement to raise fund for the time being. infocastfn.com
