Tony, Oh, yeah - I'm well aware of those patterns (dropping down a few levels to run out the stops, induce some selling, and then jam it back up) and I think that they're pure BS. Those are the tactics which, if I was king for a day, would first result in a market making firm's ECN access being restricted to all but agency orders...and would eventually result in their trade basis reverting temporarily - and possibly permanently - to that of an order-entry participant. I know exactly what you mean. To do as well as you do - indeed, at least as good as any firm out there, and far better than most - w/o the technological wizardry and huge sum of trade information that some firms have - is a direct testament to your formidible skill. That is a fact which even your most ardent opponents cannot deny. LPS5
