Well I don't think anyone is ready to sell Cisco now. It's a question of vigilance. The battle is between the terabit router (w/IOS, the source of Cisco Gorilladom) and the all optical switch. Nortel's purchase of Xros only exacerbates the conflict. I'm just not technically competent enough in this field to accurately judge the outcome. The threat is real. The stakes are huge. Chambers et al have "pulled rabbits out of hats" many times and I'm certainly not counting them out at this juncture. But to not be alert to the danger would be foolish. lurking... lurqer
