Look: what Terry doesn't understand is taht Ayn was essentially a Marxist. For her--hey, taht's how she was brought up--society and so any viable social theory must be based on economic theory. She flipped the coin. A command economy becomes rabid capitalism. Aren't we seeing that in Russia today? Nasty. They don't know how to deal with it. Nor did she. Terry??? Do I have to repeat this?? Ayn never understood that economic considerations don't necessarily prevail, and in fact shouldn't. Why not? Because at heart she was a MARXIST.
