Actaully Haim,

I am learning to recognize capitulation buying and selling. It is very much part of my TA. TA takes on much more than simple chart patterns. I incorporate many other pieces of data input. Of vital importance are, volume, options OI, major trendlines, news releases.

I am not sure anyone can predict a completely discontinuous market such as 1987 and 1929 but, local maxima and minima can be discerned. Admittedly, I am not very good at MDA, which is why I read this board. However, my stock direction analysis has vastly improved. I am primarily an investor in a select few companies. So, as it turns out, MDA has less to do with my investment decisions than TA. That is not to say the info here is of no use. To the contrary, I have learned a vast array of tools to utilize in my investment decisions by reading this board.

Thanks to the many talented contributors to this site.
