Elmer keeps reminding us that all PIII speed grades run benchmarks faster than any Athlon at any speed. Given the low MHz of PIII, it seems that it is time for Intel to switch to a PR rating. 500 MHz could be PR2000, to make the comparison equitable.

Of course, the impending arrival of Athlon onboard L2 caches will change this, so that Intel will have to derate their PR ratings to below the MHz level ;^))
