My take is that fiber optics networking will still use Cisco's software, but it sure looks like Cisco needs some optical hardware that they don't have. They have to buy a company or contract with one. I cannot believe that Chambers could miss this. But what the hell is going on with them? We, on this board, are certainly not that far ahead of the cutting edge to know something that Cisco did not know a year ago.
