Wendy,
I have reviewed some SEC filings and other materials related to ICOT (now renamed Amati since the merger). The impression one gets, which is incomplete, is that the company is fundamentally different after the merger. ICOT had a tiny niche as a supplier of PC-to-mainframe software and hardware to IBM (see references at item 30 under AMTX). The ADSL business is a new departure. Whether or not ICOT/AMTX continues to pursue ICOT's old business, which was stagnant, it is clear that recent interest in the company is related almost exclusively to the Amati/ADSL aspect. For this reason, I would be hard put to see the usefulness of any stock price data prior to the merger announcement. As you know, ICOT oscillated around a dollar or so up until early '95.

As explained in other postings, I have sold AMTX, not on technical (price-movement) grounds but because I can find little evidence that AMTX is in fact a serious player in the dynamic ADSL business. If they have something under development, I don't know what it is; but other players, such as ADI, are already going beyond the concept reflected in Amati's patent.

If you or anyone else has more concrete information on how AMTX is contributing to the development of ADSL --- beyond holding a patent which appears to carry little proprietary leverage --- please post this information.
