Lucent is trying but both Nortel and Cisco are snapping up the brains needed for the future

I thought a year ago that Cisco would dominate, and Lucent would fail. Nortel is the one that is surprising me. I thought they were the Canadian version of Lucent.

I guess I can't write off these old line companies to easily. There is a lot of business out there for all of them. Remember the old military maxim:

Any Donkey can win a battle, if the other General is a little stupider!
