Will China discard it's primary objective of economic growth with military aggression against Taiwan? Would the aggression succeed?

They are currently trying to find foreign investors for a 4400Km gas pipeline from the Western gas fields to Shanghai that will take years to build. This is just one example of many projects and objectives they are striving to achieve. An attack on Taiwan would set back foreign investment for years, possibly decades.

Watch the press conference with Premier Zhu and you'll find his comments were distorted by the press. It's being shown on C-Span at odd hours. It was open to the world's media, there was no restraint on the questions, his answers were to the question with no attempts at evasion. No similarities to a US politician. But- he isn't running for office and doesn't have an opposition Party to blame.

FWIW,
Ron
