Kumar,
I'm sorry you missed this upturn swing, but I wouldn't worry too much, these stocks are bad volatile (as you are aware). You never know, we could easily have some retracement.
Also, even before I read Cary's next post, I was ready to tell you I ALWAYS try to take everything they say with a HUGE grain of salt. I find these boards to have much better information for actually helping to make investment decisions.
I may be totally nuts, but I still feel Alan G. will raise rates on 20 May 97, and that should pour a great deal of COLD water on this party.
Plus, I have been very, very guilty of Selling Good Companies Too Soon...you may remember this tale, but I bought Merck around 28 and 30 and Sold at 60, and Damn it all, the market bid it to 90!! So, it is my natural inclination to Sell too Soon, and I am trying to Stop doing that.....My real goal in this stock process is to know really what I am doing in maybe 8-10 years.....then as my best friend back home says, "You'll be Rich as Cream!" --- She's a Jewel!!
Also, one other little thing, generally over the years when the PE on the S&P 500 pokes its head above 20, we can't hang up there that high......(Pullback Time)...well last Sunday's Barrons showed the PE on the S&P 500 to be ABOUT 19.67.
Regards,
Teri
