The scary thing about this to me is that I thought I had done at least some DD. I read the sec filings, I read the company's releases, I listened to the conference call. Admitedly, I'm not as experienced as I should be with numbers and reading financials, still you don't expect flat out lies from a company to the sec and in public releases, which I believe may have been the case. I didn't think (until now) that if a company said construction was underway on a facility, due diligence meant I should drive out to the site and look for bulldozers. At any rate. If anyone could point me in the right direction for learning to do some quality DD from the ground up, I'd be most appreciative.
