You should read the book. I have, and Al Gore is an environmental zealot. How can you admire the persons environmental beliefs when you haven't even read his book?

He only wrote the book about 10 years ago, and has defended it during debates numerous times since, saying such things as "I am very proud of it" (or words to that effect).

res- I am behind the environmental lobby -- we need a constant check on the rapaciousness of captitalism, its heedlessness with regard to overdevelopment and spoiling of the land.

This statement goes to the heart of why so many people see the current push by the mainstream media on campaign finance reform to be nothing but phoniness. One persons "we need the environmental lobby" is another persons..."controlled and paid off by eeevil right winger Pat Robertson". So really what you've been saying is, I only dislike certain lobby groups.

If you can't see how dangerous it is to think that way, a few words on the screen by me would be meaningless.

George W. is the real environmentalist. He understands you need to balance the needs of the environment with the needs of business. That's the best way to keep the "Earth in Balance". It's the difference between words and reality. Doing and talking about doing. Having beliefs which are your own or pandering to lobby groups.
