Paul, I guess this would come under the heading of etc. in your post.

In candlestick forecasting, today was a "Bullish Engulfing" day for Valence. This a bullish reversal pattern signifying a change of sentiment from bearish to bullish.

Bearish patterns have been very accurate lately in the down market, while bullish patterns have been only so so. Let's hope that the rally continues and the bullish patterns get strong again.
