I'm taking your position? Well, then *I'm the one breathing the Nitrous. --- Okay, I re-read the post and sure enough, you're right. Except I think it's clear that Sun has sincerely been concerned with Java pollution or abduction by M$ until now and will be releasing Java, and running with the brand. --- Sun's got kind of an antithesis to 'proprietary' going on with 'open standards'. In a lot of ways, that makes SUNW a gorilla (IMO). I'm really into the changing face of Intellectual Property (copyrights, patents, etc). The strength of the Sun brand in the middle of this 'open standard' UNIX/network rapture is huge. --- And you begin to make *my point about Unix culture and architecture and how it stands so apart and away from VMS/NT in the context of the internet. That's one of the things I walked away with after reading that book. -JCJ
