FYI, the Census bureau is restricted from supplying any information about individuals to anyone outside the census bureau, except under special emergency conditions.

The aggregate data(without reference to individuals) can be used by other government agencies for purposes appropriate for the data.

There are criminal penalties for disclosure of census data under any other circumstances.

What this means is that the Census Bureau can provide information on how many people are this or that, how many households have this or that. There is no provision for them to sell this aggregate data.

What they cannot do is give any information related to individuals to anyone, even other government agencies, except under very limited and extra ordinary circumstances.
