CM, actually that's not correct. The census bureau did not provide information on individuals during WWII. It did provide information on the concentration of people of Japanese origin in different localities.

If you want to be paranoid about other people having information on you I would worry more about credit bureaus and company's like DoubleClick than I would about Census.
